Hit a Million Balls

Every ball you make counts.
A million gets you in.

Ask any old-timer how to get good and you get the same answer: hit a million balls. Nobody ever kept score. Your FeltCast does, under your name, on your own table, and it pays out along the way.

How it works

Make balls. Climb. Race.

01 Make balls

The count keeps itself

Practice, play, drills, a Tuesday night with friends. Every ball you make goes on your lifetime count. Nothing to log and nothing to remember.

02 Climb

Milestones pay out

Badges first, then Pro Coaching time, then a patch, then a plaque. The ladder is the same for everyone and nobody skips a rung.

03 Race

Bragging rights with proof

First ten to a million. Most balls made this year at your level. The pros in their own division. Every board is public and every count on it is verified.

The ladder

Six rungs. One of them is a million.

Pro Coaching is the plan that keeps the drills, games and challenges growing. On the ladder you earn it instead of paying for it.

10,000 BALLS

Your first badge, and a place on the board.

50,000 BALLS

One month of Pro Coaching.

100,000 BALLS

Three months of Pro Coaching and a patch in the mail.

250,000 BALLS

Six months of Pro Coaching.

500,000 BALLS

A full year of Pro Coaching.

1,000,000 BALLS

Lifetime Pro Coaching, a plaque, and the Million Ball Club.

The races

Boards worth being on

First ten to a million

The first ten players to a verified million balls each take $500 and lifetime Pro Coaching, and their names stay in the Million Ball Club for good.

Most balls made this year

A yearly title at every level, so you race the players you would actually play. Home tables and venue tables are scored apart, and first-year owners have a rookie board of their own.

The pro division

Touring players race each other for the title nobody has ever been able to claim with proof: the hardest-working player in pool.

Fair play. Only real shots count. Every count belongs to one player, never a table. A count that climbs faster than a person can shoot is flagged, not credited, and a person reviews the record before any prize is paid. The official rules are published before counting begins.

Founders. Kickstarter backers carry a Founder badge on every board, permanently. No head start, no bonus balls. The Million Ball Club is a FeltCast LLC program for every owner and is not a crowdfunding reward.

Giving back. Every time a player reaches a million, FeltCast makes a donation to a youth pool program. The program and the amount are named in the official rules.

Questions

The short answers

What counts as a ball made?
A ball you shoot into a pocket during practice or play on a FeltCast table, counted under your own name. Breaks and balls that go in by accident are not held against you, but they are not what the count is for.
Do I need Pro Coaching to take part?
No. Every FeltCast keeps the count. Pro Coaching is what the ladder hands out as you climb, not a ticket to get on it.
Is this a Kickstarter reward?
No. The Million Ball Club is a FeltCast program for every owner, funded by FeltCast LLC. Backers get a permanent Founder badge on the boards, and nothing more than that: no head start and no bonus balls.
How do you keep it fair?
Only real shots count, every count belongs to one player, and a count that climbs faster than a human can shoot is flagged, not credited. Before any prize is paid, a person reviews the record. A count you can't trust isn't worth bragging about, so we don't credit one.
Can a bar table win everything?
No. A venue table plays ten hours a day with dozens of players, so venues race venues and home tables race home tables. Within each, the count belongs to the player, not the table.
When does counting start?
The day your FeltCast is set up. Nothing is counted before that, and there is no live number on this page until there is a real one to show.
Are the prizes final?
This is the program as planned. The official rules, with the exact prizes, eligibility and how counts are checked, are published before counting begins. Pledging now puts you first in line to read them.
